I understand that an employer has to pay for the first 10 days of jury duty. Is this correct? If so, will part-time employees be paid 10 days on a pro-rata basis?
A
Yes, an employer is required to pay an employee at their base rate of pay for the first 10 days of absence because of jury duty.

Part-time employees are to be paid their base rate for their ordinary hours. There is no requirement to pay casual staff.
