The Case

Oliver v Bassari (Human Rights) (2022)

Hebeich Pty Ltd, a beauty therapy company, employed Ms Oliver. Ms Oliver claimed she was sexually harassed by her co-worker, Mr Catalfamo, over the course of 11 months.

The sexual harassment consisted of:

  • suggestive comments and jokes;
  • sexual noises;
  • enquiries about Ms Oliver’s sex life;
  • requests for sex; and
  • an incident of sexual assault.
