Dickerson v Kagura Games LLC (2025)

Kagura Games LLC was a video game developer company based in the United States, which engaged Ms Dickerson as a video game tester in Australia. The contract between Kagura Games and Dickerson described her as an “independent contractor”.

Kagura Games sent Ms Dickerson a letter terminating her “independent contractor” services. No reasons were provided for the termination. Ms Dickerson applied to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) alleging she had been unfairly dismissed.
