Merry Christmas + What you missed in 2025

Merry Christmas and happy holiday season

From all of us at the Workplace Bulletin, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The Workplace Bulletin is taking a break for the holidays and will return on the week commencing 12 January 2026.

We look forward to bringing you more employment law news in 2026.

What you missed in 2025

In 2025, the Employment Law Handbook – the masthead behind the Workplace Bulletin – had a huge year adding brand-new content and making updates to the website to ensure subscribers stayed on top of employment law. Below are some of the highlights.

  1. 2 brand-new chapters were introduced: Working from home and Breaks.
  2. More than 200 new documents were made available for download, including a suite of position description templates. Find the full library of documents here.
  3. Important updates were made to 52 chapters, featuring employment law topics that are essential for employers. Our most visited chapter for the year was Rostering.
  4. 18 case law articles were produced, analysing cases in depth to illustrate how the law is being applied in the courts. Our most popular case law this year was 'Serious breach of safety procedures found to be valid reason for dismissal'.
  5. 25 Q&As were published, answering questions sent by subscribers to our helpdesk service. Our most popular Q&A this year was 'What exemptions apply to the right to disconnect?'.
  6. More than 50 weekly bulletins were sent out to bring the important news straight to you. Our most popular bulletin this year was 'When employees perceive performance management as bullying – Part 1'.

Don't let another year go by without access to Australia's most comprehensive employment law guide!
